Stelmach Craft
PZ Stelmach is a family-run, multigenerational company within which the passion for jewellery is passed down from generation to generation. Our story began many years ago in 1919. Then, our great-grandfather, Józef graduated from the Imperial and Royal School of Art in Zakopane with a profile of figural sculpture and goldsmithing. This is how he initiated a family tradition that we cultivate to this day.
Great-grandfather Józef passed his passion for sculpture and jewellery to his grandson Leon Stelmach, who eagerly watched him at work. He also received a unique book in which the members of the then Guild were enrolled. The first entry in it dates to 1769. We pass the book on from generation to generation considering it as one of the most valuable family mementoes and a source of knowledge about history.
About us
In 1979, the then senior Leon Stelmach established his own Goldsmith's Workshop in Opole. Initially, he created silver and gold jewellery, and over time he focused his activity on the manufacture of wedding rings. At that time, it was based solely on mechanical and manual technology. It allowed to develop the skills acquired from my grandfather, to broaden the jewellery artistry and to create unique articles for special occasions. With time, Leon Stelmach shared his knowledge by training successive generations of goldsmiths. Some of them work at PZ Stelmach to this day. Others have opened their own businesses and still thrive in the industry.
Currently, the family's jewellery tradition is continued by the sons of the senior Leon Stelmach – Wojciech and Marcin Stelmach – who introduce new technologies to the company. The innovations make it possible to create even more fanciful designs and constantly expand the offer.
In 2013 , the company's operations were moved to a new seat in the Opole Economic Zone at the northern ring road.
Wedding rings, rings and bracelets created at PZ Stelmach can be found at almost 1000 partner stores throughout the country and our company showroom located at the Market Square in Opole.
